Doctor Who DVD releases
I have a solemn confession to make. Over the past few years, as money has been tight and I’ve been living on my own and having to contend with bills and various other things I haven’t previously had to worry about, I have fallen gravely behind on my Doctor Who DVD collection. Once, I prided myself on this collection. As of January 5, 2009, I owned every single Doctor Who DVD that was available in North America. But since that point, I have stumbled. I picked up only the occasional story that I simply had to have, like The War Games and The Deadly Assassin.
But now it’s time for me to return to the fold and make up for lost time. I’ve put together a comprehensive spreadsheet showing me every Doctor Who DVD release in Region 1, sorted by release date, and marked off which I own and which I don’t. From that list, I have assembled an Amazon wish list of Doctor Who DVDs that I need to restore my collection to its full glory. The list starts off with quite a few, but I’m going to be buying them myself as I have the funds, so I hope it will become shorter very quickly.
But if you have ever wanted to get me a little something or are a family member or friend looking to get me a gift, this is the absolute best thing you can get for me. I’m terrible at picking gifts for myself and I’m never able to come up with lists of what I want, but if you really want to make me happy, you probably can’t do better than getting me one or two DVDs off this list. I promise you it will really make my day.
I’ve assembled the list below, and I will update it both here and on my Amazon wish list as I begin collecting the DVDs I have been missing out on for so long. Thanks.
